Salsa...
Why buy canned salsa...when you can make fresh salsa without all of the preservatives.
Ingredients
6 Roma tomatoes...chopped
4 garlic cloves
2 seeded and minced jalapenos (I use the seeds for the heat)
1 red bell pepper, finely diced
1/2 red onion, finely chopped
2 dry ancho chiles, seeded and chopped
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 lime, zested and juiced
Chili powder, cilantro, fresh scallions, salt and pepper to taste.
Place in the refrigerator to let all of the flavors infuse up to 12 hours.
I generally add my ingredients in the food processor. I like my salsa with the consistency of baby food.
Go out and invest in some mason jars.
