Naked Cakes...
I love naked cakes... It let's the beauty of the actual cake show...the texture & moisture.
Naked cakes can also be made with fruit on the inside as a filling...letting the colors of the fruit show.
Naked cakes can come in a variety of sizes. Pictured below are minis. The mini size would be a good replacement for a cupcake. These are perfect for dessert tables for many different functions.
Since frosting isn't covering the entire cake it shouldn't be left uncovered for extended periods of time.
